Real Numbers - NCERT Class 10 Maths

The chapter 1 on Real Numbers begins with an introduction wherein the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic is mentioned. Next, Euclid’s Division Lemma is presented and it is highlighted that it is a restatement of the long division process.  Also, Euclid’s division algorithm is a technique to compute the Highest Common Factor (HCF) of two given positive integers. Post that, Euclid’s division algorithm is presented and a few examples are provided to illustrate the applications. In the exercises presented towards the end, concepts like the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, Irrational Numbers and Decimal Expansions of Irrational Numbers are explored.
